K-3 Literacy Statewide Outreach trainings offered Print E-mail
Trainings for K-3 educators will be offered regionally as part of the K-3 Literacy Statewide Outreach for the 2007-2008 school year.  Educators may be teachers, school and district administrators, reading specialists, literacy coaches, paraprofessionals, and others who help with K-3 literacy.  The trainings are free and include lunch.

Grant funding of up to $4,000 per district is available and may be used only to offset the cost of educators participating in the K-3 Literacy Statewide Outreach regional trainings offered during the 2007-2008 school year.  Each district must submit a grant application for approval to receive reimbursement for expenses incurred.  The applications must be postmarked no later than September 14, 2007.

The calendar of trainings and grant applications are available at http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?id=1398.  The calendar will be updated as needed to reflect any changes in the dates, presenters, or locations.

By August 23, an updated calendar of trainings and descriptions will be available on the ODE website under “Announcements.”  Registrations will be available under “Calendar of Events.”  Individual registrations on the ODE website are required.
