Nominate a colleague for Assistant Principal of the Year award Print E-mail

It’s that time of year to nominate an outstanding middle or high school colleague for the Assistant Principal of the Year Award.  Sponsored by NASSP and Virco, the award provides a great way to bring recognition to a deserving individual, as well as to their school and community.

To obtain an online application form, go to the NASSP website.

For the initial round of judging, Oregon applicants will complete all sections of the national application except the three essay questions on Collaborative Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, and Personalization.  This process allows others to nominate, and even complete the application, on their behalf.  An Oregon winner will be selected, and that person will then complete the three essay questions, and the finished application will then be submitted to NASSP.

Each state winner will attend a two-day recognition program April 24-26, 2009 in Arlington, Virginia.  In addition, winners will be recognized at the Annual COSA Conference in June.

All completed applications must be submitted to the COSA office by Friday, November 7.  For questions regarding the award, contact COSA staff member, Nancy Moen.
