Powerful team assembled for ODE/COSA Winter Conference Print E-mail

A powerful team of experienced practitioners from all over Oregon has been assembled to address the "Strengths and Weaknesses Approach to the Determination of Learning Disabilities" during the ODE/COSA Winter Conference for Special Education Administrators, set for January 11 at the Wilsonville Holiday Inn.

That topic is the number one priority for additional sessions suggested by attendees at the ODE/COSA Fall Conference -- will .  IDEA 2004 permits the use of strengths/weaknesses as a process for determining students with learning disabilities.  The session at the Winter Conference will offer ways to address the process and methods of reviewing patterns.  Join David Guardino (ODE), Jim Hanson ((Portland Public SD School Psychologist), Mikala Saccoman (Redmond SD School Psychologist), Erin Lolich (Tigard/Tualatin SD OrRTI Project Manager) and Karen Apgar (Eugene Cadre) will discuss what they are doing in their districts and share new ideas and tools.
